WHEELS AUTOMOTIVE
TRADE CENTER

Information

OUR MISSION:

To help young men and women Discover and Cultivate:

1. If they are gifted with their hands

2. God's love for them

3. A life of loving others

HISTORY:

YFC Wheels began in 2005 as a program to help at-risk youth in Franklinton learn basic automotive skills. Many students did well and learned the skills, but also thrived from the individual input from staff and volunteers who worked side-by-side with them.

In 2017 Luke Walker, owner of Luke’s Auto and a certified mechanic, took over the training program and brought new and innovative ideas to the training. Since this time nearly 100 students11-19 years old students have attended the introduction to auto mechanics class. In 2019 Luke and his team added an introductory class for adults and an advanced class for teens.

VISION MOVING FORWARD:

Our goal is to serve more than 200 students per year within one year of breaking ground on the trade center.
